STEP 1 Tips
Select your song from our pre-approved
song list on the home page OR chose your own original song that you
composed (i.e. on guitar, piano, etc.). Since this is about having
fun, choose a song that will be fun to have as background music for
your “home video” and lyrics. You
can register for LASIK Idol by clicking here.
There is no time limit requirement for your video. You can use just a small amount of the song you choose or the whole song. It's totally up to you.
After you register and if you would like to use
one of our songs, watch for e-mail after you register. This e-mail
will have instructions on downloading a song from our list. (Remember
to write down the track number of the song you use since you’ll
need that when you submit your video in Step 3.)
If you would like
to use your own original composed song after you register, just get
to work creating your video. (When you submit your video in Step 3
enter 99 for the track number.) .
STEP 2 Tips
This is where it gets real fun! You'll want to
create an original video with you singing the lyrics that you wrote
about why you want LASIK and how it will change your life. You can
have a friend videotape you singing!
The video can feature just your singing, rapping, or just talking
to the music. You can have your friends in the video too. You video
can be as simple or complex as you want it to be. Of course, the more
entertaining and interesting, the better!
Then upload your video to your YouTube account and you're ready to submit
in Step 3. If you need help to set up a YouTube account, please email
us at info@lasikidol.com.

and read the "fine print".
And be sure to submit your video before the February 28, 2010 deadline.
What Happens Next?
After February 28th, LASIK IDOL officially
begins! These videos will be voted on by the public, which includes
all your friends, who register to vote on this site. The "general
public" should include anyone and everyone you know, e.g. friends,
co-workers, relatives, unsuspecting strangers and anyone else you can
legally convince to vote for you!
After we get to the final round, the "LASIK IDOL" will win free Lasik, valued at
$6700 with Dr. Brian!
